Cancellation Notices & Notes For Other Specifications
MIL-S-5059 was cancelled effective September, 1993. This specification covered a variety of alloy/temper combinations. The AMS specifications should be used as replacements for MIL-S-5059. | |
QQ-S-766 was cancelled effective July, 1993. It has been replaced by the ASTM specifications listed in the table above. Use the following guidelines for requesting the correct replacement specification:

MIL-S-25043 was cancelled effective May, 1997. This specification was specific to the 17-7 grade. The corresponding AMS specifications in the table above are to be used as replacements for MIL-S-25043. | |
AMS-5515 is the specification for 302 Annealed with a Carbon (C) content of .08 - .15. Brown Metals Company purchases material to meet both 302 / 304. Because 304 has a maximum Carbon (C) reading of .08, we are not able to certify to AMS-5515. All 302 / 304 material at Brown Metals Company will have a Carbon reading LESS THAN .08. |
